Spring has Sprung Special
Spring finally is here! This weather has just been wonderful and change is filling the air. You're probably been peeking at those spring skirts and shorts, and wondering when to break them out. Looking at yourself you might have been thinking of what happens to all of us at this time of the year what am I going to do with my hair this season?
When it comes to spring and just warmer weather ahead in particular we think of lighter hair color, maybe going shorter with our haircut. It's way fun to change it up a bit once the season comes.
I am starting my Spring Special for all you lovey's who want to change it up, even if it's not dramatic. Receive a Free Designers Cut with any Color service with myself at Me Salon.
We can consult to what your looking for and what's going to look best on you. This special will go through April and May. Schedule an appointment with myself and we will get you looking great!

Blow Drying 101
You know the feeling of leaving the hair salon feeling "Hot"? About 80% of how we like our hair when leaving the salon is based on how our hair got styled. You might of had the hair stylist where you just aren't quite sure what he/she was thinking, or you just love the way they get your hair to look. Well can I tell you a stylist secret to getting the best style... it's all in the blow drying.
How are you doing your hair once you step out of the shower? If you just let it air dry totally you won't get the that extra lift you want or fix those cowlicks. One thing I always do is I do let my hair air dry to about half wet half dry feel. Unless I'm in a hurry I'll start blow drying right out of the shower. If you let your hair air dry a little it can help on preventing heat damage to your hair. Where you want to focus on is your roots. Make sure that you don't let them air dry all the way, because that's where you are going to control on where you get your lift and fullness in your hair. If you have thick hair just worry about getting your roots dry then you can let the mid shaft of your hair to your ends air dry the rest of the way. They will dry faster once your roots are dry.
When drying your hair it's important to use products in your hair before you start. If you are really focusing on the extra lift make sure your using a booster at your roots. If your hair ends are split or dried out, first of all schedule a haircut to get your hair healthy, then use a aragan oil at you ends only. This will also make it easier to maybe round brush your hair because you'll have that extra slip in it.
Blow dry your hair the opposite direction that you wear it. flip sections of your hair up and over and get your roots dry. Make sure your blow dryer is set at the medium temperature setting so your not burning your hair...and make sure you're not holding the blow dryer too close to your head. For cowlicks, just use your brush with your blow dryer and brush and smooth it out with the heat. It's best too to use a heat protectant in your hair before blow drying. How you let your hair dry to going to determine on how your hair will look. Happy Blow Drying!

The Classy Ponytail
There is always those days when we just don't want to mess with on hair at all and it's just being stubborn. We get frustrated on most of these days and still want to look fashionable, but to tired to really do much. Let me introduce you to today's ponytail.
Ponytails are just wonderful aren't they. Takes are hair up off are necks and it's fast and easy, but there is a way of doing it with style. This way will make you look classy and it's different from your average workout ponytail.

When securing it don't twist your elastic to tight. It should just be about two times or so. Now , here is the trick to ponytails is how you tighten it. When pulling pull it horizontal then last vertical. This way you get that cute, sassy poof in your ponytail. You can pull out some fun pieces too around your face or your bangs. For extra class try tying a ribbon around your elastic. Remember practice makes perfect with anything, especially hair.

Loyal Rewards
New things are happening all over the place it seems like with my business. I am very excited for all of it and to really treat you guys when it comes to getting your hair done with me. Something new I have been doing for a couple months now is I started taking credit cards with Square card reader. I believe most of you have loved this and the convenience of it. I have been improving it and learning for myself about Square and what it all includes for you as guests.

How the loyalty cards are going to work is when you spend $15 or more you will get a stamp on your card for that visit. Once you have completed 10 stamps you will receive $10 off your next service. I think that you all will love this. Especially how it is electronic so you don't have to worry about finding it every time you come in. Have a good day everyone and don't hesitate to ask for help with any beauty problems you may be having.
