Elegance and Class

When it comes to make up it's always fun to switch it up a bit. Especially with the seasons you can play around with new and fun ideas for the season. This Fall it seems like the vampire fever is taking over everywhere. If your like me I'm a little sick of people having this obsession. It has lasted way to long, but I do like these fun colors for your next night out could be fun.

The color that everyone is talking about is Wine color. It is very rich and classy looking. A trend going on that InStyle Magazine says is having Wine lips. I do admit that it is bold and can scare some of you to try because of how dark it is, but I was thinking that you know what tis the season for lots of parties and get togethers.   This time of the year there's usually parties to go to that you yourself will get more glammed up for than you do in the Summer. Why not glam up your lips as well, or if your nervous about your lips try your nail polish this color.

Another look that is fun for special occasions is the time less red lip. Not everyone can necessarily pull this off. I love this look and it does take practice to achieve the flawless lip. The trick for it is to use a lip liner that is the same color as your lipstick. Go around the edge of your lips without getting on the skin, but here's the trick don't stop with just a thin line of liner. In order to pull off these dark color lips and especially the red lips what you'll want to do is color in your lips with the liner. I recommend not your whole lip but you want to color them in a little so your outline is a nice thick line. Then rub your lips together and apply your lip stick. After that you might want to blot you lips with a tissue. Fold it in half and with just your lips put the folded tissue across your lips and quickly close and open your lips on the tissue. This of course is an old trick from way back, but it helps to make sure your lip color doesn't get on your pearly whites. I guarantee that this will make it a ton easier to accomplish your look, but like I said practice makes perfect.

Flawless Glow

We all see that beautiful glow some of our favorite stars have. We wonder where they get it and how when we're sure they have very busy lives. How do they not have dark circles under their eyes from running around all the time?

Some of it does have to do what they eat. Eating green leafy vegetables and drinking enough water can help with those dark circles, but it is also how they wear their make up. There are actually a lot of tricks to the trade that help you look flawless and glowing. The glowing look you want that is around your eyes all starts with your concealer. When picking out a concealer you want a shade or two lighter than your foundation is. I personally like the cream stick concealers. They are easy to apply where you want it and don't create a mess.

To start you will do this before you apply your foundation. Apply your concealer right underneath your eye, right where you get those dark circles, and to the corners of your eyes as well. This area where your applying should be about the size of a quarter. You can also apply a little bit to the tops of your cheek bones and the outer part of your eye a little for an quick face lift. Next use a face sponge or your fingers also work great to blend it in. When you apply your foundation be careful not to apply to much around these areas since their already covered. Just focus on blending it all in around the edges of where you applied it. Just dab with your fingers.

I hope you like this easy make up tip to help you look glowing to your next event. Have a happy Friday everyone :)

Liquid Smart

Summer is here and I am so happy with all this warm weather. Most of you know already that our bodies change with the seasons. So, naturally we need to change our lifestyle to these seasons.

With the summer heat we want to make sure were drinking enough water, and not getting dehydrated on other drinks. One of the common problems with not drinking enough water is our skin takes a beating. We will have better skin that has that natural glow if we drink more water. Most of the time when we breakout we can help it out by giving our body more H2O. We can avoid them by doing so. I know that's it's hard, it's hard for me too!  But we all need to have goals in our lives. It gives us something to strive for and to feel good about when we have accomplished them.

Have you ever struggled with dark circles under your eyes? And you fight every morning with concealer trying to get rid of them. Well the easiest way to fix those circles is by drinking more water and make sure your getting about seven hours of sleep each night. It's always good to use a little lighter color than your foundation under your eyes to help you look fresh, but adding more water to your everyday lifestyle can help with how much you have to wear. You can get your natural beauty coming out by just taking care of yourself. The way our body reacts has a lot to do with what were putting into it, and it can be helped by the simplest thing of drinking water. So next time you sit down to have a drink choose your friend H2O instead of the alternative.

Lash Envy

Long gorgeous lashes, I believe we all want. Sometimes though it gets frustrating trying to keep them in their tip top shape. Have you ever thought of what you need to be doing to do to keep your lashes healthy?

Well, for about six or so months now I have been using a lash conditioner for mine. Using a conditioner for your lashes will help them so they won't fall out as much. I have also noticed that they have gotten longer as well as strong. The lash conditioner I use is from Jane Iredale Make up, which I love. It comes just like your mascara, and you apply it just the same too. I would say that there is no need to re-dip the wand, just take it out and apply it to the top lashes then the bottoms.

Some other helpful tips for your lashes is to make sure your not rubbing your eyes. I mean, I do it but it's not a good thing to do for your lashes. If you have to rub be gentle, especially when taking off make up. Rubbing roughly can cause them to fall out more.

Another tip is remove your eye make up at night!
I know some people who don't remove their eye make up before going to bed. This is so bad for your skin and lashes. If you remove it and wash your face before crawling into bed not only will you feel better but your lashes and skin will thank you. Make sure you get all of your make up off too.

Did you know that leaving your mascara on or any make up through out the night will cause you to age more? I know we all want to avoid that as much as possible. Removing your mascara at night is just another way to help your lashes from falling out. If you have a problem getting all your make up off it might be time to try a new way of removing your make up. Jane Iredale has a mitt that will take off all make up even mascara. It is gentle on your eyes and skin, and all you do is wash off the make up when done. This will save you money and help you to become more earth friendly.

Take care of your lashes ladies, and let me know if you took some of my advice and how you liked it.

Thanks

Blue Eyed Bombshells

Here's a make up tip for you gals with blue eyes. What works well with blue eyes and helps bring the color out in them. When it comes to the best eye shadow color to wear it's brown. When you go with warm tones with blue eyes it really lets your eyes stand out in their own beauty.

There are several different shades of brown you can play around with. I have blue eyes myself, and what I normally do when applying my eye shadow is I use three different colors.

I first start with a highlighter which is a white or light cream color sometimes that has a shimmer to it. I apply this with a brush right underneath the arch of my eye brow. Whenever your applying any kind of eye shadow make sure you tap your brush after you have got the color on your brush. This way you not putting to much on, it's always easy applying more than taking it all off.

Now the second color is your base color for me is normally another cream color that has more of a softer look to it. Or you can use a light brown too. When applying the second color you're going to be applying it to the lid of your eye. Do this in little circle motions instead of one swipe.

Then your third color is your accent color which is your darker color. When applying this only apply it in the cease of your eye lid. The cease is the space between your eye and your brow bone. Your brush strokes will swipe into this cease making a half of a half circle. You don't want the darker color on your inside lid. One rule with colors on eye shadow is lighter on the inside of your lid then gradually darker as you come to the outside.

If you take your finger and put it along side of your nose and then without picking up your finger pivot it towards your eye. Stop when the tip of your finger comes to the outer edge of your eye, this is your imaginary line when applying eye shadow. You don't want your eye shadow to come outside of the line. Then you will be going back into the 80's.

You will learn as you do it more and more. Brown is not the only color you can wear it's always fun to have a day of experimenting. Brown tones are just whats going to help really bring out the blue. I personally love to wear violet tones as well. I hope this helps all of you with blue eyes, and even you that don't. I will post more of what colors look best for what eye colors.
